 Let's recap recent events....

Cancer diagnosis, Christian buying a house, and recent visits.

I failed to mention something previously...

Kevin and Chandler (Christian's dad and brother) were in town around the time of my biopsy and confirmation. They'd gone to visit Catelynn (my niece) in Chesapeake the day I found out. They returned Saturday evening and left early Monday morning. Was uplifting to see them and have them visit.

The day after my confirmed diagnosis, about mid-day, out of nowhere appears Tracey. In my bedroom doorway. She'd apparently decided that morning that she was coming to me for the weekend. God blessed me with great friends. She and I got out and did a LOT of retail therapy Saturday, buying things we knew the kids would need for their new home. She and Nathan were in cahoots because apparently he knew she was coming.

Needless to say, there wasn't a lot of time to be able to wallow in my misery or have much more of a pity party, which is probably a good thing.

Tracey and I got to do the walk-thru at Christian's house that Friday with Sam, Ashli and the realtor. Good place for them to start with the options for future expansions. Minor things to take care of but no biggie. Plenty of yard space. They closed on their home on March 31.

Adrianna (my daughter) and Jay came up the following weekend. They ended up helping with the last few loads of stuff to Christian's new place, so they also got to see it. I was able to pull Adrianna aside at one point and go over my diagnosis in detail, let her feel the bastard that's trying to kill me, let her ask questions... The clinic sent me a book that is really well written with diagrams and explains things very well. That's what I used when explaining things to her. I've pulled from it for some information in these posts. (Be a Survivor, 7th edition) I had called and told her about the cancer being confirmed shortly after we found out, once I was able to have Chris and Tracey be there with her for comfort. Like me, she wasn't up for a session of Q&A. She was in tears. Time to process was needed.

Brace for impact and overload... the next couple weeks are slam packed with doctor appointments!
